Rauch Gertenbach expands with two more offices
Rauch Gertenbach Attorneys expands its footprint in greater Mossel Bay on the eve of their centennial. According to Basson Piek, Chief Operating Officer of the firm, the intention to expand their offices to Hartenbos was set at the beginning of 2020 but was delayed due to the Covid pandemic. The firm’s new showcase office in Hartenbos, on the corner of Kaap de Goede Hoop and Bloukrans Avenue, is now completely operational. The office offers conveyancing, estate and trust administration, drafting of wills, and litigation services on a full-time basis.
“To us, the establishment of a branch office in Hartenbos is an extremely significant move,” says Piek. The motivation behind the decision, he explains, is to fulfill the demand for quality legal services in the Hartenbos community and surrounding area.
“Hartenbos has developed into a very prominent area from where our client base can be serviced more efficiently.” With the steep increase of property development in and around Hartenbos, coupled with the firm’s focus on the conveyancing of properties, this is an ideal and natural fit.
“Rauch Gertenbach has one of the biggest fiduciary practices in the Southern Cape and many of the firm’s clients reside in the vicinity and the new office makes the provision of services more accessible.”
According to Piek, the move comes timeously as the firm’s office in Church Street in Mossel Bay has reached its capacity. “ We are not appointing new staff members in Hartenbos but have merely transferred some of our staff members to the new office. An attorney will be available at our Hartenbos office on a full-time basis and additional appointments may well happen in the near future.”
The new office radiates Rauch Gertenbach’s professional image, quality service, rich history, and tradition, while a warm and friendly feel is tangible as soon as clients set foot in the reception area. “We realize that a visit to a law firm may often feel intimidating and/or stressful and therefore our intention was to create an atmosphere which rather promotes the opposite.” Piek invites clients to have a cup of coffee at the new office to experience it first-hand.
The opening of the Hartenbos office is but one of the exciting developments celebrated by Rauch Gertenbach this year. They will also open a branch office in Dana Bay on the 1st of November.
“From a strategic perspective, we are extremely excited about this expansion. The office will handle conveyancing and deceased estates services, including the drafting of wills. Should clients require litigation services, it can be arranged by appointment at this office.”
There are also a few interesting developments at the firm’s George office. They are proud to announce the appointment of a new litigation attorney, Gavin Jordaan. Additionally, the highly experienced Barend Kruger of the Mossel Bay office will take the reins as Head of Litigation in the George office from the beginning of September. Another heavy-weight in the legal field, Dirk Schoeman, a very experienced conveyancer from Bloemfontein, will join the company as a Senior Associate in October. Finally, the appointment of Enrico Acker offers a welcome and invigorating force to bolster the Insolvency and Business Rescue department.
